Welcome to my website and thank you for considering Tucson Mobile Massage Therapy!
My philosophy for providing massage therapy is simple: Massage is Medicine. Various aspects of massage therapy can successfully treat the whole person, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. My hope is that my bodywork sessions will provide you with increased balance and awareness of your whole being.
I follow an integrative, wholistic approach in my massage practice following nursing practices. Without getting too esoteric, I consider this wholistic balance essential to the wellbeing of each one of us. Massage is just one of the tools available to us to help us attain that needed balance.
I use a variety of massage techniques including Sports Massage, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Bodywork, Medical Massage Therapy and basic Swedish Style Massage.
Due in part to my own past injuries and movement patterns, I pay special attention to relieving deep fascial movement patterns and adhesions which remain with us following sports related injuries, surgeries, aging, and self-limiting movement patterns due to our work and recreational activities.
I will tailor each session to your specific needs at the moment and hope to help you to feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident from the very start!
I have been a massage therapist since 1985. I have worked in world famous health resorts, with chiropractors and physical therapists, aboard a cruise ship, in day spas and in my own practice over the years. I am also Board Certified (BCTMB), the highest credential within the massage and bodywork profession.
In 1993 I became a registered nurse, continuing to practice massage with my patients. As time went on, I focused mainly on my nursing practice, and I have recently returned to practicing massage therapy. I am still active in my nursing practice, working mainly with veterans in their homes.
Since 2014 I have also worked as a professional hiking and mountain bike guide. I spend a lot of my free time in our beautiful Sonoran Desert! I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, road cycling, and trail running. You may also find me working as a medic or volunteer at one of our local running or biking events.
I hope that I can be of service to you!
Sincerely,
Jim DiDomenico, RN, LMT
